Use search-volume-history-ahrefs (Tool ID 97e54e87-513a-4323-8468-1d242ab01ed8). Reuse my Toolmu connection or follow https://toolmu.com/SKILL.md, within my current authorization and budget. Ask for target and date_from if missing. Send queryParams target example.com, date_from 2026-07-01, date_to 2026-09-30, history_grouping monthly, mode domain, protocol both and country us. Keep the range within 60 chosen buckets. Review dates and aggregate search-volume values for the report-covered organic-ranking keywords, not individual keyword/URL/position histories or site visits. top_positions and volume_mode are not supported inputs and their effective settings are unknown; do not promise all ranking keywords, a top-10/top-100 threshold, a 12-month average or a monthly measurement. Grouping controls report intervals, not the volume unit. Arrange actual dates without assuming native order, complete periods or bucket snapshot/averaging rules. Keep missing periods/values unknown, not zero, and retain consistent country/scope/protocol/grouping. Country omission behavior is unspecified. Do not sum dated values as cumulative searches or visits, infer traffic/ranking gains or causes, or invent results. Use only the seven supported inputs. Additional calls or ongoing monitoring require authorization.

Task:
For [https://example.com] in [United States], show how often people searched for related words from [July 1, 2026] to [September 30, 2026], with one total for each [month]. Each total combines estimated searches, not visits or one search's history. Missing months are unknown; up to 60 periods.

Review Search Volume History for Ranking Keywords · Ahrefs

Enter a domain or URL and a start date to review dated search volume totals for keywords included in Ahrefs' organic ranking report.

You receive

Get dates and aggregate search-volume values for the selected target scope. Your Agent can arrange the returned dates and compare values across daily, weekly or monthly report intervals.

Start with your task

For [https://example.com] in [United States], show how often people searched for related words from [July 1, 2026] to [September 30, 2026], with one total for each [month]. Each total combines estimated searches, not visits or one search's history. Missing months are unknown; up to 60 periods.

What to know

A request covers at most 60 chosen time buckets. The ranking range and volume calculation setting are not exposed, so the totals do not promise every ranking keyword. This is an aggregate series, not individual-keyword histories or measured site visits.

Input schema

Input schema
Field / Path	Type	Requirement	Meaning
queryParams`queryParams`	`object`	Required	Required fields `target, date_from`
Target scope`queryParams.mode`	`string`	Optional	Optional exact, prefix, domain or subdomains; default subdomains. exact selects this URL, prefix URLs starting with the target, domain excludes subdomains, and subdomains includes them. Default `subdomains` Options `exact, prefix, domain, subdomains`
Target domain or URL`queryParams.target`	`string`	Required	Required nonempty string, such as example.com or https://example.com/page. With mode, selects the target whose included ranking-keyword search volume is aggregated. Minimum length `1`
Optional country market`queryParams.country`	`string`	Optional	Optional two-letter ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, such as us. Specify a market for a consistent comparison; the behavior when omitted is not established. Minimum length `2` Maximum length `2`
End date`queryParams.date_to`	`string`	Optional	Optional YYYY-MM-DD date, for example 2026-09-30; default today. This does not guarantee that the latest interval is available or newly collected. Pattern `^\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2}$`
Target protocol`queryParams.protocol`	`string`	Optional	Optional both, http or https; default both. Selects target URL protocol, not a search-volume method or ranking-position range. Default `both` Options `both, http, https`
Start date`queryParams.date_from`	`string`	Required	Required YYYY-MM-DD date, for example 2026-07-01. The period must fit at most 60 chosen history buckets; earliest available coverage is not guaranteed. Pattern `^\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2}$`
Report grouping`queryParams.history_grouping`	`string`	Optional	Optional daily, weekly or monthly; default monthly. At most 60 chosen buckets per request. Grouping sets report intervals, not the volume measurement unit, bucket averages or missing-period filling rules. Default `monthly` Options `daily, weekly, monthly`

Additional notes

Keep the target, country, protocol and grouping with each comparison. Your Agent can arrange the actual dates and describe differences between returned aggregate values, while keeping missing intervals unknown. Source order, complete intervals and exact bucket snapshot rules are not guaranteed.

The keyword population included in the report can change across dates. A change in the combined value therefore does not isolate a change in one keyword or prove a change in general market demand. The ranking range and calculation setting also limit interpretation; preserve any supplied explanation of them without inventing a setting.
