Use Ahrefs’ report to find links pointing to pages it has recorded as broken. If the user has not shared a website or page link, ask them to paste one. Include related website addresses for a whole-site check by default; check only the supplied page when they ask for one page; leave out related addresses if requested. Return up to 20 results by default. If the user asks for more, use the smallest number that meets the request, up to 100. Before running, check the page’s maximum charge, the available balance and the user’s existing spending authorization; ask first if the requested amount may exceed that authorization. Do not start extra paid checks automatically. These are Ahrefs’ latest records, not a live check. Do not change websites or claim that this report repairs links.

What to know

This is an Ahrefs backlink report, not a full site crawl or a fresh check of every destination. Filters and the limit of up to 100 records can leave out results. Recheck a destination's current response before changing it; a recorded status or normal redirect alone does not establish permanent failure.

Additional notes

Start with the source-to-destination pairs: they show where a reported backlink appears and which target address needs investigation. A source domain's DR describes its backlink strength, not a guarantee of quality or of value recovered by repairing the destination.

Read status details separately. The destination HTTP status comes from a target-page crawl; a redirect code describes a referring page linking through a redirect. Missing codes are not zero and normal redirects are not automatically failures. Keep the original recorded details and confirm the destination's current behavior before choosing a site change.
