See Monthly Searches for One Phrase · Ahrefs

Enter one search phrase, a country and a date range to see estimated searches each month. This shows search counts rather than people, clicks or visits to your website. Some months may be missing, and the numbers do not explain why interest changed.

Use Ahrefs monthly search history in Toolmu with my existing connection and spending authorization. Ask for one search phrase, one country and a start date if any is missing. I can give full country names and natural dates; understand them without asking me to look up a country code or type a special date format. Ask if a country or date is unclear. If I do not give an end date, use today. This history is monthly only. One request can cover one phrase, one country and up to 60 months. If I give multiple phrases or a longer period, ask me to choose one phrase or a shorter period; do not start multiple requests automatically. Show the estimate for each available month and leave months with no record blank. Explain that these are estimated searches for each month, not unique people, clicks, visits to my website, an average across a year, or Google Trends. Describe only changes supported by the available months; do not assume a holiday peak, guess a cause, forecast future searches or fill gaps with zero. Do not add paid requests automatically.

Task:
Show the estimated number of searches for [Christmas gifts] in [United States] from [January 2025] through [December 2025], month by month. Leave months with no record blank. These are searches, not people or clicks; describe changes without guessing why they happened or predicting next year.

You receive

Get monthly dates with estimated search counts for the keyword in your selected country. Your Agent can arrange the available records over time, compare higher and lower months and describe the observed trend.

Start with your task

Show the estimated number of searches for [Christmas gifts] in [United States] from [January 2025] through [December 2025], month by month. Leave months with no record blank. These are searches, not people or clicks; describe changes without guessing why they happened or predicting next year.

What to know

A request can span at most 60 months. Historical gaps may remain, and the latest month is not guaranteed to be available. The estimates do not establish repeating seasonality, explain a change or predict future demand.

Input schema

Input schema
Field / Path	Type	Requirement	Meaning
queryParams`queryParams`	`object`	Required	Required fields `keyword, country, date_from`
Search country`queryParams.country`	`string`	Required	Required two-letter ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code, such as us. Selects the country for this keyword's monthly search-volume estimates. Minimum length `2` Maximum length `2`
End date`queryParams.date_to`	`string`	Optional	Optional historical end date in YYYY-MM-DD format; defaults to today. It selects the report period rather than guaranteeing a record for the latest month. Monthly grouping is fixed for this Tool. Pattern `^\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2}$`
One keyword`queryParams.keyword`	`string`	Required	Required non-empty string, such as christmas gifts. This request accepts one keyword or phrase, not an array of keywords. Minimum length `1`
Start date`queryParams.date_from`	`string`	Required	Required historical start date in YYYY-MM-DD format. Choose it with the end date so the period spans at most 60 months. No earliest available history date is promised. Pattern `^\d{4}-\d{2}-\d{2}$`

Additional notes

Use the dated estimates to compare the same keyword in the same country across the selected months. The Agent's chronological table or trend summary is additional presentation, so it should retain the dates and values actually returned instead of assuming native sorting or a complete series.

This reads historical search-demand estimates. It does not arrange ongoing checks; comparing more keywords or countries requires separately authorized requests.
