Use query-backlinks-ahrefs (Tool ID cb132d95-03b0-453b-a8c4-baf7b2796586). Reuse my Toolmu connection or follow https://toolmu.com/SKILL.md, within my current authorization and budget. Ask for the target if missing. Send queryParams target example.com, mode domain, protocol both, limit 20 and order_by domain_rating_source:desc; omit unnecessary filters. Review backlink records from the source URL TO the target URL, with anchors, source-page HTML titles, source-domain DR, source-page UR, recorded dates, dofollow classification and link type. DR/UR are source domain/page backlink-strength measures, not target ratings, Google positions or quality guarantees. first_seen is when Ahrefs first discovered the referring PAGE URL, not when this backlink was created or first found. last_seen is when Ahrefs discovered the LINK LOST, not its last live check; null does not prove it works now. Preserve missing, blank, zero and false values. The dofollow flag means the link lacks a special nofollow attribute, not guaranteed SEO value. Keep coverage, filters and row cap clear. Do not infer complete, ungrouped or live-only links, unique source totals or automated outreach/edits from these records. Use only the six supported inputs and ten filter/sort fields; extra calls or checks require authorization.

Task:
For [https://example.com], list up to [20] links Ahrefs found on other websites that point to this site. Show the page with the link, the page it opens, the words people can click and the page title if available. Ahrefs may still list old links, so the report does not confirm they still work.

Review Incoming Backlink Records · Ahrefs

Enter a domain or URL to review recorded links pointing to it, with source and target pages, anchor text and source-domain and source-page ratings.

You receive

Get backlink records with source-to-target URLs, anchor text, source-page titles, source-domain DR and source-page UR, source-page discovery dates, recorded link-loss dates where available, dofollow classification and link type. Use them to choose sources for closer link-profile review.

Start with your task

For [https://example.com], list up to [20] links Ahrefs found on other websites that point to this site. Show the page with the link, the page it opens, the words people can click and the page title if available. Ahrefs may still list old links, so the report does not confirm they still work.

What to know

Ahrefs coverage, filters and at most 100 records limit the report. It is not a complete inventory or a unique-source total, does not check whether links work now, and does not establish quality or ranking gains.

Input schema

Input schema
Field / Path	Type	Requirement	Meaning
queryParams`queryParams`	`object`	Required	Required fields `target`
Target scope`queryParams.mode`	`string`	Optional	Optional exact, prefix, domain or subdomains; default subdomains. exact selects this URL, prefix selects URLs beginning with the target, domain excludes subdomains, and subdomains includes them. The scope selects target destinations, not linking-source domains. Default `subdomains` Options `exact, prefix, domain, subdomains`
Backlink-record limit`queryParams.limit`	`integer`	Optional	Optional integer from 1 to 100; default 100. Caps returned records without guaranteeing that many results or a complete raw-link/unique-source count. Default `100` Minimum `1` Maximum `100`
Backlink filter`queryParams.where`	`string`	Optional	Optional JSON-encoded filter expression supplied as a string. Supported fields are url_from, url_to, anchor, title, domain_rating_source, url_rating_source, first_seen, last_seen, is_dofollow and link_type. Omit it when no filtering is needed. Minimum length `1`
Target domain or URL`queryParams.target`	`string`	Required	Required non-empty string, such as example.com or https://example.com/page. Together with mode, selects the destination target whose incoming backlinks are reported. Minimum length `1`
Backlink sort order`queryParams.order_by`	`string`	Optional	Optional comma-separated fields, each optionally followed by :desc. Supported fields are url_from, url_to, anchor, title, domain_rating_source, url_rating_source, first_seen, last_seen, is_dofollow and link_type. For example: domain_rating_source:desc. Minimum length `1`
Target protocol`queryParams.protocol`	`string`	Optional	Optional both, http or https; default both. Selects the target URL protocol, not the protocol or current validity of source links. Default `both` Options `both, http, https`

Additional notes

Read each backlink record in the direction from the referring source page to the linked target page. The title belongs to the source page; its DR belongs to the source domain and its UR to the source page. Anchors and link types describe the recorded link, rather than predicting its ranking effect. Dofollow classification does not provide a safety or value judgment.

The source-page discovery date and link-loss discovery date describe different events. Neither is a page publication date or a last live check. Preserve actual strings and missing dates; do not turn a blank anchor, zero rating, false flag or null loss date into an inferred absence or live-state claim.

Your Agent can compare the bounded records and choose sources for closer research. A complete inventory, current URL checks, outreach or link changes need separate evidence and authorized actions.

The first discovery date refers to the source PAGE URL, not the date this backlink was created or first found. The loss date is when Ahrefs discovered the link had been lost, not its latest live verification. A null loss date does not prove current validity.
