Use outbound-link-totals-ahrefs (Tool ID aab36483-af76-4643-92fc-8ba91ccc82de). Reuse my Toolmu connection or follow https://toolmu.com/SKILL.md, within my current authorization and budget. Ask for the source target if missing. Send queryParams target example.com, mode domain and protocol both. Summarize the recorded external outgoing-link count and the external dofollow subset. Keep missing values distinct from zero; dofollow is a subset, so do not add it to the total. State that Ahrefs marks this source endpoint as beta and its totals may differ from the interface. Do not infer internal-link or unique-domain totals, individual URLs, current link validity or SEO effects. Use only the three supported inputs; this Tool has no date, row limit, filter or sort. Additional calls or follow-up checks require authorization.

Task:
For [https://example.com], count this website's links to other websites in Ahrefs' records. Ahrefs is still testing this data, so the total may differ from its reports.

Additional notes

An external-link count measures outgoing link occurrences from the selected source scope. It does not identify individual destination URLs or show how many of those links work now. The dofollow count is a subset of the external total, rather than an additional total to add.

Choose the source scope carefully and retain it beside the counts. The Agent can summarize the records and help decide whether a separate destination-level review is needed. That review requires a separate request and authorization.
