Additional notes

Read the checks in layers. An MX record means the domain has mail-routing records; an SMTP connection means Hunter reached a mail server. The SMTP address check reports whether the server accepted the address during Hunter’s test, without sending an email. It is not confirmation that a future message reached an inbox.

An accept-all server accepts checks for any address at its domain. A positive SMTP check can therefore coexist with uncertainty about the particular mailbox. The block flag instead tells you that the server prevented Hunter’s SMTP check; it does not by itself establish that the address is invalid.

Keep source discovery dates separate from verification time. A page where an address was found explains the address’s web history, while the verification date describes the check record.
