Use Toolmu to find weather location matches with https://toolmu.com/tools/search-locations-weather-underground for [place or airport name]. This tool accepts the ordinary name directly. Act within my existing authorization and budget. Present readable names, regions and countries from the returned matches, keeping each candidate's source details together. If several places fit, ask me to choose using ordinary location details; [country or region] can help clarify the returned candidates. Keep missing details unfilled and explain if the intended place cannot be confirmed. Place location and local-clock information describe the place record, not necessarily a related airport or personal station. Do not assume a related station shares that exact position or clock, is the nearest station, or is currently reporting. Treat a forecast or station report as a separate weather request.

Task:
Find weather location matches for [place or airport name]. Show readable names, regions and countries so I can choose the right place, and explain if a match is unclear or absent.

Weather Underground

Find Weather Underground Places

You receive

See readable location candidates with their names, regions, countries and available place details kept together. A record may also mention a related airport or personal weather station. These details help you compare matches, but do not establish that station's exact location, local clock or availability.

Start with your task

Find weather location matches for [place or airport name]. Show readable names, regions and countries so I can choose the right place, and explain if a match is unclear or absent.

What to know

The same name can match several places, and search coverage varies. A place entry may refer to a station without being that station's own record. Missing details remain missing; a match does not promise the nearest station, usable weather or a complete station list.

Result schema

No fixed output contract is available. Field types reflect saved result evidence; individual responses can differ.

Result schema
Field / Path	Type	Meaning
Displayed location name`result.data.location.displayName`	`array`	The candidate's display name. Match it with the values at the same position in the other location arrays.
Geographic context`result.data.location.displayContext`	`array`	Additional place context, such as region and country. Use it to distinguish candidates with similar names.
City or place label`result.data.location.city`	`array`	The city or locality text supplied for the candidate. Retain the original label; it may also contain the name of an airport place.
Address or place description`result.data.location.address`	`array`	The supplied place description, which can combine locality, region and country. Use it as geographic context; it is not a guaranteed complete street address.
Country code`result.data.location.countryCode`	`array`	The country code supplied with the candidate, such as GB. Keep it attached to the same location when preparing a later weather request.
Country name`result.data.location.country`	`array`	The country name for this candidate, useful for distinguishing places with the same name in different countries.
Administrative region`result.data.location.adminDistrict`	`array`	The region or administrative area supplied for the candidate, such as England. Use it alongside the city and country context.
Location latitude`result.data.location.latitude`	`array`	The matched place's latitude, not a verified precise coordinate of an associated airport or PWS station. Pair it with longitude at the same array position.
Location longitude`result.data.location.longitude`	`array`	The matched place's longitude; it does not establish an associated station's exact position. Keep its sign and pair it with the corresponding latitude.
Associated personal weather station ID`result.data.location.pwsId`	`array`	A personal weather station identifier associated with the match when supplied. It does not confirm that the station is online or has usable current weather data.
Associated airport ICAO code`result.data.location.icaoCode`	`array`	An airport ICAO code associated with the match when supplied. A city candidate can also carry this code; retain the location context before using it for an airport-station request.
Location IANA timezone`result.data.location.ianaTimeZone`	`array`	The IANA timezone name supplied for this candidate, such as Europe/London. Keep it with the correct place when preparing local-date weather requests.

Additional notes

Keeping location details aligned

The location fields are parallel arrays. For one candidate, pair values at the same position across the name, context, coordinate, identifier and timezone arrays. Preserve null or empty values in their positions; do not shorten arrays independently or attach a station code from another candidate. Turning these aligned values into a table is Agent formatting.

Get connected

It finds location information so you can confirm the place you mean. Retrieving a forecast or station report is a separate request for the confirmed place or station. A related station reference does not prove that it is currently reporting.
