Use Toolmu get-live-city-rankings-iqair to retrieve the major-city ranking. Reuse a working Toolmu connection or follow https://toolmu.com/SKILL.md to connect. Check current inputs, availability and credit ceiling and stay within my authorization and total budget. Prepare the documented empty input internally; this example requires no user-supplied values. Preserve the source order and ranks and display up to the first ten actual returned cities, without assuming the source returns a fixed count. Show available city/country, source air-quality index and both list and city update times with clear labels. Ties retain source order. A selected-country subset can be prepared from actual returned rows only if requested; keep original ranks and do not claim a newly computed national ranking. Do not invent country/date/page selectors, annual rankings, pollutant concentrations, forecasts, complete world-city coverage or guaranteed real-time freshness.

Task:
Get IQAir’s major-city air-quality ranking. Show up to the first 10 returned cities in the original order with rank, air-quality index, country and update times.

Get IQAir major-city air quality rankings

Review IQAir’s selected major-city ranking with the reported air-quality index, city location and update times.

You receive

Receive a ranking snapshot containing city, state or region, country, source rank, AQI and a city page reference. The list and each city record provide separate update-time fields.

Start with your task

Get IQAir’s major-city air-quality ranking. Show up to the first 10 returned cities in the original order with rank, air-quality index, country and update times.

What to know

Coverage is IQAir’s selected major cities, with no fixed result count or complete world-city inventory promised. This snapshot does not establish annual pollution rankings, pollutant concentrations or forecast values.

Inputs & outputs

Inspect the current inputs, availability, and maximum charge before starting.

Result schema

No fixed output contract is available. Field types reflect saved result evidence; individual responses can differ.

Result schema
Field / Path	Type	Meaning
Ranking update time`result.data.updatedAt`	`string`	Source update time for the returned ranking list. Keep its time-zone information and read it separately from the Tool’s completion time.
Ranked city records`result.data.citiesData`	`array`	City records in IQAir’s returned order. Coverage is the source’s selected major cities; the list length can change.
City`result.data.citiesData[].city`	`string`	Source city name. Read it with state or region and country to identify the place.
State or region`result.data.citiesData[].state`	`string`	State or region supplied for this city record. Preserve the source wording.
Country`result.data.citiesData[].country`	`string`	Country supplied for this city record; it is location context, not a request filter.
Source rank`result.data.citiesData[].rank`	`number`	Rank assigned by IQAir in this returned major-city list. Preserve it when AQI values tie or when you show only a subset.
Reported AQI`result.data.citiesData[].aqi`	`number`	Source air quality index for this city record. It is not a pollutant concentration; the result does not specify the AQI scale or calculation method.
City record update time`result.data.citiesData[].updatedAt`	`string`	Source update time for this city record. It does not by itself establish the time of every underlying measurement.
City page reference`result.data.citiesData[].url`	`string`	IQAir page reference for the city. A relative path refers to IQAir’s website and provides further city context.

Additional notes

Compare higher-AQI cities within the major-city list IQAir returns. The supplier describes descending AQI order. Keep the returned rank when cities share the same AQI: the result does not explain its tie-breaking rule. If you show only selected cities, retain their original ranks and label the view as a subset.

Read the list update time alongside each city record’s update time. These are source update fields, not proof that every underlying measurement occurred at that instant. The supplier describes hourly updates; inspect the returned times before reusing the snapshot. AQI is an index rather than a pollutant concentration, and this result does not state its scale or calculation method.

Use an empty input {} to request the list. Before execution, inspect Current Tool inputs for the current inputs and availability.

This Tool documents no country, date or pagination input. Your Agent can select relevant city rows from the returned snapshot, but their ranks remain positions in IQAir’s original major-city list. A selected subset is not a separately computed national or historical ranking.
