Choosing the source scope

The BlockRun Exa search documentation describes a query-based webpage search with optional domain and category controls. Use a list such as ["payloadcms.com"] in includeDomains when the task requires restricting the source domain. A preference written in the query, such as “official documentation,” does not itself apply that domain restriction.

Use excludeDomains for domains you want to omit. Category and domain-filter combinations depend on supplier support; the Exa search reference documents category-specific restrictions. Choose supported combinations rather than assuming every category can use every filter.
