What to know

Additional notes

Reading the purchase confirmation

The BlockRun phone-number purchase documentation describes phone_number as the allocated number in E.164 international format, beginning with a plus sign and country code. expires_at gives the lease expiry as an ISO UTC timestamp. Read the actual returned expiry rather than assuming the number is held indefinitely.

chain identifies the payment network used for the supplier request; it does not identify a personal wallet. message contains the provisioning confirmation and instructions. A purchase message is not evidence that a phone call has taken place.

Payment-wallet association

The supplier registers the lease against the wallet used in its purchase request. Later use and renewal must satisfy that association. Receiving a number does not, by itself, establish that your personal wallet controls it.

Country availability

US is the default country. Canadian numbers depend on availability; other countries may require carrier regulatory approval on the supplier’s account before provisioning. A country code or area-code preference does not guarantee that a matching number is available.
