The Tool does not guarantee a fixed interval or complete date coverage. Both dates are required, but the actual returned records determine which dates are available. This Tool has no frequency selector and does not guarantee both endpoints or the latest period. Use YYYY-MM-DD dates; the supplier's available history starts on 2022-10-31.

It shows a change in the recorded index count. Detection and index coverage can change as well, so the difference does not establish when software was installed or removed, why the count changed, or how many paying customers adopted it. A record date describes the data period, not an installation or crawl event.

The same domains can be counted on more than one date. Adding the dated counts would not produce a unique adoption total. The result does not supply a complete worldwide population or market-share denominator; compare the available dates within the supplier's index scope.

They are separately reported website counts by country code, language code and backlink-rank range. Country does not verify company headquarters, and language does not describe audience demographics. Backlink rank is not a Google search position or a safety rating. Preserve the supplier's labels rather than forcing every code into one taxonomy or requiring all maps to add up to the main count.

Keep missing dates and null values unknown; do not fill them with zero or interpolate a series. A returned zero is an index value, not proof that no such websites exist anywhere. Build the table from the actual dated records.
