Compare keyword popularity by region

Supply one or two keywords, a supported country, start and end dates, and a web, news or shopping source. Your Agent retrieves DataForSEO’s modeled relative-interest values across the reported regions for that interval.

You receive

Receive a regional interest summary for your keywords over the dates you supply. Available records identify regions and each keyword’s relative popularity. For two keywords, the result may also include comparisons within each region and a comparison using a shared reference across keywords and regions. Your Agent can organize these values to show where each keyword is relatively popular and how the two compare.

Start with your task

Use [Google Search] to compare the search popularity of [rugby] and [cricket] in [United States] from [January 1, 2023] to [January 1, 2024]. Show each topic’s regional score and any available comparisons. Explain the scores and keep missing or insufficient data clear.

What to know

The values are relative indicators, not search counts or population percentages. Each keyword’s own regional scale and the combined comparisons use different references. Available regions and freshness vary; the summary does not provide a time series.

No. In each keyword’s regional-interest records, 100 is that keyword’s highest popularity reference across the relevant locations. A value of 50 is relative to that reference. Because each keyword has its own reference, two keywords both scoring 100 do not establish equal search demand.
