Keyword popularity by age and gender

Give your Agent one or two keywords, a supported country, a date range and a search source. Get DataForSEO’s available age and gender popularity indices, with a comparison between two terms when available.

You receive

Get a demographic summary for the requested range: available age and gender popularity indices for each keyword, plus a comparison between two supplied terms within the same age or gender category. Use it to explore which groups a topic appears relatively stronger in. Each term’s age and gender indices have their own strongest category set to 100; the two-term comparison instead uses their combined popularity within a category as 100.

Start with your task

Compare estimated search interest for [rugby] and [cricket] in [United States] from [January 1, 2023] to [January 1, 2024] in [regular web results]. Show relative scores for age and gender groups; they are not counts or shares of people. Clearly mark groups with too little data.

What to know

These are modeled relative indicators, not audience percentages, headcounts or verified searcher profiles. A reported 0 means insufficient data. Missing groups may be unavailable, and a single term has no two-term comparison. The result summarizes the range rather than showing a time series; it does not establish current activity or coverage of every population group.

No. For each keyword, its strongest age group is set to 100, and its strongest gender category is separately set to 100. Other values are relative to those maxima. They need not add up to 100 and do not describe audience percentages.
