Compare monthly backlink metrics for a domain

Give your Agent a domain and start and end dates to review available monthly backlink summaries. Compare link and referring-source counts alongside the supplier's domain score, with each month's recorded data kept in context.

You receive

Receive available monthly summary records from DataForSEO's backlink index for the requested domain and date range. Each record can report backlinks, referring pages, domains, main domains, IP addresses and subnets, with nofollow counts and a target-domain score. Use these separate measures to compare the recorded link profile across returned months.

Start with your task

Compare links to [website link] from [January 2025] to [March 2025]. Show how many links were found each month and how many pages and websites they came from. Note months with no information. Results may include all of the first or last month, even if dates begin or end mid-month.

What to know

Grouping is fixed to calendar months. Partial start or end months expand to whole-month buckets labelled with the month's last day; this does not establish a count captured exactly at month-end, a monthly sum or an average. Counts describe the record date rather than links added during the month. Zero can mean the supplier has no data, and missing values remain unknown. Records do not establish complete web coverage, current-month completeness or SEO gains; individual links and new/lost-link events are not returned.
